Description<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\nThe Lidcombe Program is an evidence based, behavioral treatment for early stuttering. The treatment is administered by parents under the supervision of a speech language pathologist. Research has shown that children can maintain high levels of speech fluency following treatment.\r\n\r\nThis workshop is designed for speech language pathologists who are interested in working with young children who stutter. The workshop will include short lectures, group activities, viewing and discussion of clinic visit videos, and case discussions.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Learning Objective<\/strong>:\r\n\r\n– Understand the rationale and concepts of the Lidcombe Program\r\n\r\n– Confidently conduct the components of the Lidcombe Program \u2013 training parents, speech\u00a0measures, therapy, and maintenance\r\n\r\nTarget Participants:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n-Speech therapists\r\n\r\n– Speech therapy students (Final semester or final year)<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
